About Our Director

Dena grew up in Mesquite, TX and graduated from North Mesquite High School. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Elementary Education and a Kindergarten Endorsement. She is also certified in Physical Education K-12. Dena has a Master's degree in Educational Diagnostics from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M at Commerce). She taught Kindergarten for 9 years (5 in Mesquite ISD and 4 in Coppell ISD). She began as director of Stringfellow School in 1998.
